Biography

Farid Gharagozloo, MD is the founding physician of Center for Advanced Thoracic Surgery, a Florida Hospital Medical Group practice based in Celebration, Fla. He is a board-certified thoracic surgeon who is specially trained and highly experienced in performing minimally invasive, robotic-assisted procedures for the treatment of thoracic cancers and both benign and malignant esophageal disorders. His role at the acclaimed Global Robotics Institute establishes him as one of only a handful of internationally recognized physicians at the leading edge of robotic surgery. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Dr. Gharagozloo carried out his two residencies at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. and completed an advanced fellowship in cardiac surgery research at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass.
