Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH) celebrated the ribbon cutting of its newest clinic on 1st June 2018, in front of a full house, onsite at the Parkway Medical Associates clinic in London. Many community members and leaders attended, including members of the London-Laurel County Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Troy Rudder as well as many hospital directors.
The ceremony began with Erika Skula, President/CEO of Manchester Memorial Hospital welcoming everyone to the venue. I believe that Parkway Medical Associates is dedicated to the same principles of high quality, value-based healthcare that defines us. With this acquisition, we will have a broader reach across southeastern Kentucky, allowing us to not only strengthen relationships, but to extend our mission beyond Clay County and expand our legacy of 150 years of whole-person care to a larger population base, as we improve the lives of individuals, families and communities, said Skula.
David Watson, the Plant Services Director for the hospital did the prayer at the event, followed by Dr. Jackie Maxey, provider at the clinic, who then took the podium and spoke a few words, emphasizing on his journey in healthcare and the partnership with Manchester Memorial Hospital.
The ribbon cutting was carried out by the hospitals C-Suite and the London-Laurel County Chamber of Commerce, who had also brought along the colorful ribbon and bows as per their tradition. Light refreshments were also served at the occasion, and colorfully wrapped giveaways were given to the attendees.
The Parkway Medical Associates clinic is located at 102 Professional Drive, Suite 2 London, KY 40741. For more details about the clinic log on to AdventHealth Manchester or call Call606-847-4000 to schedule an appointment.
